Meandering Typology | Void
Located on Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah, where the community’s lifestyle consists of an obvious home-to-work-and-back-to-home shuttle, it became a place of “Live” and “Work” for the community. As the “Play” spaces are scarce, the site become mundane and lack of sense of community.
The idea of the community library to incorporate “Play” spaces is to make old and new public spaces widely accessible by creating in-between spaces to stimulate interaction and creativity of the community, thus revitalizing the place.
The design emphasizes on the play of void using blocks and meandering typology for in-between spaces, inspired by the places where the community likes to gather, in order to create an order in chaos.
